System integration

System integration

Use Sitecore as an integrations platform and give your customers the possibility of self-service.

A large proportion of the web solutions that are developed today, have, if not now then in the future, a goal in relation to integration with the organisations internal and external business systems, typically with the goal of improving service and increasing the possibility for self-service.
Pentia possess a broad technological competence within system integration and have much experience with integrating newly developed systems with customers existing systems.

Systems are typically a mix of standard business systems and customers own custom solutions. As a starting point, one can naturally integrate with everything, just as long as there is some form or other of external interface to data and potential functions. The degree of integration is in this way proportional with the type of interface (simple/complex, primitive/advanced) and furthermore, external brokers, such as Biztalk can make the use and implementation easier.

As Sitecore is itself a web service provider, where the full API is exposed, Pentia use it largely as a starting point for integrations. In other words, Sitecore becomes the mediator layer between, for example, a number of different databases and different interfaces, such as, internal systems or web service requests from external customers or websites.

Pentia has experience with integration in a wide range of standard systems, among others, MS Dynamics, Interwoven, ScanJour and consistently develop their palette of opportunities. One of the latest initiatives has been a simple integration with Fuljitsu Siemens eDOC system that is used by the Municipality of Copenhagen. The system makes it possible to publish agendas and summaries on the Municipality of Copenhagen’s website.
