Københavns Kommune (Municipality of Copenhagen) launches a new site developed by Pentia
Pentia develop and implement a new website for Københavns Kommune, which has also received a new design.
Monday the 1st of September 2008 Københavns Kommune launched their new website and like the last one it is also based on Sitecore.
The task mainly consisted of converting the earlier solution from Sitecore 4.3 to Sitecore 5.3 while simultaneously implementing a new graphical design, as well as a range of new functions.
The new design has been made far more user friendly and accessible so the Kommune’s citizens and other interested parties can find relevant information much quicker.
A selection of functions:
- Possibility to create fully integrated sub sites with an independent graphical expression.
- Tag cloud on the front page
- Use of ajax on the front pages menu and tabs
- Possibility for integration of “News channels” at the bottom of all pages
- Integration of forum module in the solution
- Backend inheritance functionality
- Integration between the left menu and the breadcrumbs
- Tip a friend
- XML- integration and Site improve search
- Reading with dan-læs
