The Municipality of Frederiksberg has for several years run a flea market during the summer months in the car park behind the town hall. Over time it has developed into a complicated interaction between registrations, stall holders, shifts, administration etc. So much so that 2 people fulltime were needed to handle the many registrations and payments etc. As a result, the Municipality of Frederiksberg asked Pentia to present a possible solution to handle the different processes. Among other things, it was decided all registrations and cancellations and payments should be Internet based. It should also be easy for the administrators to see if a stall booked for a specific day was paid for.

Pentia developed an application based on Sitecore that exploits Sitecore’s inbuilt workflows to control the not so simple processes involved with booking a stall. This enables the Municipality to be able to follow a specific purchase stringently from when it is ordered through to payment or possible cancellation on the net. Here is an overview:

• Reservation, ordering and payment of a stall built via Sitecore’s workflow functionality
• Cancellation via a code system so it is not necessary for the user to create one themselves (which makes it much more user friendly).
• Payment integration with DIBS
• Look-up of persons and companies via CPR/DPR database
• Print of stall card and automatically generated code that makes it easily recognizable for the Municipality.
• Visual booking directly on the website where colour markings give a direct overview.
• Report generation over stats; number booked, cancelled etc.

The system has made it possible for the Municipality to manage the booking of stalls as a part of the daily work load and thereby enabling the two full time resources to be reassigned to other tasks.
